Principle and basis of dimming solution for led plant lamp

1. Influence of spectral range on plant physiology

280 ~ 315nm: has little effect on morphology and physiological process

315 ~ 400nm: chlorophyll absorption is low, affecting photoperiod effect and preventing stem elongation

400 ~ 520nm(blue) : The ratio of chlorophyll to carotenoid absorption is the largest, which has the greatest effect on photosynthesis

520 ~ 610nm(green) : The absorption rate of pigment is not high

610 ~ 720nm(red) : Low chlorophyll absorption and significant influence on photosynthesis and photoperiod effect

720 ~ 1000nm: low absorption rate, stimulate cell elongation, affect flowering and seed germination

>1000nm: Convert to heat

2. From the above data, it can be seen that different wavelengths of light have different influences on plant photosynthesis. The wavelength of light required for plant photosynthesis is about 400 ~ 720nm. Light at 400 ~ 520nm(blue) and 610 ~ 720nm(red) contributed the most to photosynthesis. Light at 520 ~ 610nm(green) has a very low rate of absorption by plant pigments.

3. According to the above principles, plant lamps are basically made into three forms of red and blue combination, full blue and full red, in order to provide red and blue light of two wavelengths, covering the wavelength range required for photosynthesis. Visually, the combination of red and blue plant lights appear pink.

4, white LED lights, the most common is the use of blue core, stimulate yellow phosphor, resulting in a composite visual white effect. In terms of energy distribution, there are two peaks in the blue region at 445nm and the yellow-green region at 550nm. And the 610 ~ 720nm red light required by plants is in short supply. This explains why plants don't grow well under white leds.

5, the red and blue lamp chromatographic ratio of the plant lamp is generally appropriate between 5:1 ~ 10:1, usually optional ratio of 7 ~ 8:1. Of course, there are conditions to adjust the ratio of red and blue light according to the growth cycle of the plant.

6. When the plant lamp is used to fill the light of the plant, the height of the distance from the leaf is generally 0.5 ~ 1 meters.

The microprocessor system can make the best brightness adjustment instruction to the LED power module according to the data of the storage system and the light sensing system, control the output of the LED power module, and realize the dimming of the LED plant lamp. Make the plant lamp output light intensity and band according to the growth stage of the plant and the site of natural light intensity to achieve the best light intensity value and spectral distribution required by the plant, promote plant growth.
